The Lalanne Group was retained as consultant by University of California Berkeley to assist with entitlement of a 40,000 square foot mixed used development at UC Albany Villages.
The project will include a retail shopping center and senior housing development of 150 units at UC Albany Village.
Entitlements were secured in 2012. Residual land value and ground lease payments from third party developers of retail and senior housing will generate significant new annual revenue to the campus to support academic programs, affordable student housing and central campus programming. Sprouts will anchor the retail center and small shop space supporting the UC Albany Village of faculty and married student housing and neighboring City of Albany little league playfields.
